A certified translation requires the notary to certify the signature of the certified translator based on the specimen signature submitted to the notary's office. Only certified translations performed by a certified translator can be certified.

It should be noted that the notary does not verify the accuracy of the translation and is not responsible for its veracity, but only confirms that the signature belongs to the authorized translator.
